April 2007, zLinux Installations CSL has implemented a z/VM zLinux farm consisting of more than a dozen Linux servers. The environment was constructed as part of a joint development-QA project for a major international software provider. The zLinux farm consists of all zLinux distributions of Red Hat and SuSE, up to the latest versions - RHEL v5 and SLES v10.
2006, Mechish The IT management body of Bank Hamizrchi, chose CSL International to brief their z/OS professionals with the latest features and new development of z/OS. The lecture was given with great success at Mechish offices by CSL's professionals at their respective fields of expertise.
2006, Aduva-Sun Microsystems Israel Purchased in 2006 by Sun Microsystems, Aduva was one of Israel's top Start-up companies. Aduva's product targets Linux-rich installations, providing an easy and professional way of distributing software and upgrades across the Linux enterprise. Aduva's programmers needed a simple, cost-efficient solution for testing their product on all available z/Linux versions. CSL provided the solution in the form of a zPAD Flex-ES machine running z/Linux images under z/VM. With the aid of CSL's z/VM and z/Linux professional services, Aduva's Flex-ES solution now runs all RedHat and SUSE versions available for zArchitecture under one z/VM instance.
2006, Mercury Mercury is one of worlds largest IT solution providers. Venturing into the cutting edge world of IBM WebSphere, Mercury needed a powerful MainFrame solution and CSL was there to answer the call. The solution consisted of a zDev 2, the 2nd most powerful Flex-ES installation in Israel, and Professional Services in the WebSphere area. With more than a little ingenuity, CSL was able to install both version 5 and version 6 of the IBM WebSphere Application Server, on one z/OS instance, thus providing Mercury with the best solution available. Mercury was purchased in 2006 by HP.
2005, BMC BMC is one of the world's leading MainFrame IT software providers. With products such as the CONTROL product suit, BMC is one of the leaders in their field. As an ever-growing company, BMC trains MainFrame developers on a regular basis. CSL was proud to be chosen out of several competitors to technically lead the education effort that was managed by John Bryce. The courses were given by CSL's experts at BMC's Tel-Chain's Development Center.
2005, SPL LTD SPL was one of the first installations of Flex-ES CSL has performed in Israel. For a company with MF needs in the z/OS as well as the VSE, Flex-ES was a great opportunity at the right cost. The project involved rebuilding the SPL LPAR backed up from their MF service provider at that time, including many ADABAS regions, TSO users for system programmers, DBAs, developers and students, as well as setting all the administrative procedures for backup and restore in place. The project was delivered on time on budget with a lots of extra features that were added on the fly.
